Foods & PVC's

One thing about PVC's is "THEY ARE VERY CONFUSING!"  The more I read, the more I become confused!  Today I tackle how food may influence PVC's.  Take a look at this conversation about PVC's and food!

MedHelp - Do Certain Foods Trigger PVC'S?

Caffeine
Alcohol
Jalepenos
Sugar
Olive Oil
Alfredo Sauce
Artificial Sweetners
Food Preservatives
Milk
Chocolate

More to ponder!  Food, stress & anxiety, oxygen, and my open heart surgery!  Many question & few answers!

More on PVC's & Exercise

Found this interesting video on PVC's and exercise - check it out at:

Recovery PVCs During Treadmill

Testing Tied to Heart Disease

The part that I found interesting was during the recovery phase after exercise.  This seems to be the most critical form of PVC.  This will give me more questions to ask my cardiologist -

1 - In my recent testing, what did my PVC's look like after exercise?

2 - When I had the heart monitor for 24 hours, did I have PVC's while resting, sleeping, etc.  Does the monitor show the time of the day that I had PVC's?

Heart Surgery, Recovery, Exercise, Retirement & Roots!

Added a new exercise routine - Tuesday & Roots.

I decided to get my exercise by walking around Roots today!  For people not familiar with Roots, it is a Lancaster County Tradition - Farmers Market! So, what did I buy, nothing! I was tempted -

- 12" Woopie Pies! (not good for the heart)
- A used Banjo - $85 (good for the heart)
- plenty of 'red' meat in the deli's (not good for the heart)
- a Green Bay Packer hat (good for the heart)
- Sho Fly pies! (not good for the heart)
- old used books (good for the heart)
- great "junk" in the flea market (not good for the heart)
- great "junk" in the flea market (good for the heart)

Great exercise, great environment, & a great Lancaster County Tradition!

9/11/01 - Heal My Heart!

Where were you September 11, 2001?  I was at school, one of the middle schools that I was working at that year as a technology specialist for my school district.  My wife was working for our church at a nursing home in Millersville.  My oldest son, Jared, was in his last year of college at Slippery Rock & Josh, my youngest son, was in his first year of college at Temple University in Philadelphia.

When I heard of the plane crash I thought is was just a horrible accident.  I turned on the TV in my classroom computer lab & watched.  To my horror, a second plane hit the second tower!  This was no accident something was wrong!  We were under attack!

I first called my wife, she was coming home from her duties at Millersville.  I filled her in and she was safe, but concerned!  I called my older son, Jared.  Slippery Rock in in the middle of no where, about one hour north of Pittsburgh, he was safe, but being in Army ROTC his life was changed forever!  I was most worried about my youngest son Josh!  Temple University is in Philadelphia, would that city be attacked?

All the family was well!  But our country was to be changed forever!  Today,  as I watch the tributes, the NFL football games, and share the memories of many families whole lost love ones, I am proud to be an American!  As i mentioned earlier, my old son's life was changed the most!  He has had FOUR tours of Iraq!  The first one, his tank was one of the first tanks into Baghdad!  My wife & I experienced sending him to war four times & welcoming him HOME - four times!!!!

Nine months after open heart surgery, MY HEART IS PROUD!  The amazing people in New York, fire fighters & policemen HEAL MY HEART! The men in the armed service HEAL MY HEART!  The people in Flight 93 HEAL MY HEART!
